Another person has died after a crash on Highway 6

A tragic update to a story we first brought you last week.

A man has died in hospital following a crash on Highway 6, north of Hamilton that happened just before seven Thursday night. A car and a crane truck crashed head on at Highway 6 and Millgrove Side Road in Flamborough. It took fire fighters over an hour to remove the people inside.

The 32-year-old woman driving was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger, a 31-year-old man, was taken to Hamilton General Hospital in critical condition at the time and later pronounced dead.

Police have identified the victims as Alison Smith of Hamilton and Michael Racheter of Burlington.
