A Hamilton parent says another local elementary school was targeted with anti-vaccine graffiti on Sunday night.

Images show “NO JABS 4 KIDZ” and “UNMASK THE KIDS” spray-painted on the walls of Westwood Elementary School on Lynbrook Dr. in Hamilton.

The Hamilton-Wentworth District School (HWDSB) board issued a notice to parents about the “act of vandalism” and said the graffiti had been removed from the school.

“We take these types of incidents very seriously. The contents of the graffiti expressed concerns over public health measures. HWDSB continues to follow all Ministry of Education and Hamilton Public Health Services requirements to ensure that our schools are implementing public health measures,” reads the notice posted on Westwood Elementary School’s website. “Our priority is to reduce the spread of COVID-19 to ensure that our schools are in the safest conditions.”

It is one of many schools on Hamilton Mountain targeted by vandals over the weekend.

On Monday, Hamilton police said they were investigating after anti-mask and anti-vaccine messaging was spray-painted on the exterior walls of Pauline Johnson Public School on Hummingbird Ln.
