On Friday we reported about a four month old kitten who was tossed from a moving car in Haldimand county last week. The Welland Humane Society is still looking for the person who did it. Luckily a 10 year old girl saw Charlotte the cat being tossed from the car window on Main street in Selkirk at around 6:30 Thursday night. She called the humane society.
Charlotte suffered a broken right leg after being tossed from the moving car, but because she’s a kitten and still growing the vets at the Welland Humane Society feel she’ll be good as new after a few weeks of cage rest.
“This kitten for what she’s been through is really sweet loving, loves attention, it’s unbelievable what she’s been through how she still trusts people.”
Investigators are looking for the driver of a black four door sedan. The maximum penalty for the cat tosser if convicted, would be 2 years in prison, or a $60 000 fine. Charlotte will looking for a new, loving home in a few weeks once her leg heals.
