An Ancaster teen has been charged in what police say were unprovoked attacks with an “aerosol irritant.”

There were two incidents in the evening of July 4.

A man and woman, who were inside their parked car at Ancaster Meadow Public School, were approached by a person on an e-bike.

Police say the person walked up to the car and sprayed an unknown substance from an aerosol can.

The two victims left the area and were taken to hospital.

Earlier that day, a person on an e-bike threatened to spray a man who was getting out of a car in a driveway near Stonehenge Dr. and Thoroughbred Blvd.

Police say the victim was not sprayed and the suspect left the area on his e-bike.

Detectives were able to identify the person through surveillance video.

A 17-year-old from Ancaster has been charged with three counts of assault with a weapon.
