Ancaster is airborne!

Ancaster, the peregrine falcon chick, took her first flight at the Sheraton Hamilton Hotel. Ancaster was born May 25th to parents Lily and Ossie, and now she is officially airborne!

Around 9:30 yesterday morning she first flew over to the old Stelco building, to the east of the Sheraton. then took off again, eventually landing on the roof of the Fairclough building.

Ancaster’s flight was captured on the “falconcam”, under the watch of volunteers from the Hamilton Community Peregrine Project.
