Ancaster house fire under investigation

The Office of the Fire Marshall has been notified after a fire broke out in an Ancaster home on the corner of Meadowlands Boulevard and Livery Lane.

Emergency crews got the call just before midnight. About 20 fire fighters were needed to fight the blaze which seemed to have started in the basement and spread to the second floor. The fire didn’t break through the home but there is heavy smoke damage throughout.

No one was hurt.
