Ancaster couple charged after police seize drugs, weapons, and $170K in cash

An Ancaster couple is facing a slew of charges after police seized drugs, cash, and weapons from storage lockers in Hamilton and Burlington.
Back in March, police arrested Nicholas Deschenes after officers seized a large amount of drugs and cash during a drug trafficking investigation. He was charged under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act for failure to comply with an order given during a declared emergency.
Police continued their investigation and executed two search warrants last Thursday at a home in the area of Golf Links Rd. and Meadowlands Blvd. and storage units in Hamilton and Burlington.
Investigators seized illicit drugs including $11,000 in cocaine, two handguns, and roughly $170,000 in cash.
Nicholas and Marija Deschenes were arrested without incident.
They face several drug and weapons-related charges.
