An 8-year-old Port Dover girl started a newspaper in her community to raise money to help people in need

An 8-year-old Port Dover girl, Abby Mitchell started a newspaper called “The Abby Post” in her community to raise money to help people in need. She’s already raised thousands of dollars for the local food bank, by telling important stories in her town.

Abby does interviews with people in the community and sells advertising space in her paper. She has raised over $3,400 for the local food bank.

Abby prefers print journalism over being on television, but she says she’s going to keep writing as long as she can.
