Amber Alert cancelled

The OPP have now cancelled an amber alert after an abduction in Timmins.

The children are reported to be safe and sound in North Bay.

Police there found the two young children Thursday morning and their father is now in police custody.

Police say 1 year old Cara Johnson and her 3 year old brother Aiden Johnson were taken by their father, 34 year old Zach Johnson sometime Wednesday.

Johnson did not have permission to take the two young children who had been staying with grandparents.

Timmins police issued the amber alert around two Thursday morning.
