Alleged sexual assault at a Toronto school

Up to ten high school students may be facing expulsion after a video appearing to show a sexual assault at a Catholic all-boys school surfaced on social media, prompting an investigation.
St. Michaels College claims they were notified about the incident on Monday, but Toronto police say they were contacted about the incident, not by the school but by the media after a video that appears to show the assault was posted to social media.
A letter from St. Mike’s that was sent to parent reads in part:
‘This week, to our shock and dismay, we learned of two incidents that were in clear violation of our student code of conduct. The school has zero tolerance for such behaviour. The school administration promptly conducted an internal investigation, including meeting individually with students involved and their parents. As a result, swift and decisive disciplinary action has taken place, including expulsions.’
Toronto police also tight-lipped as well releasing only this statement:
‘After receiving information from the media, officers from 13 division and the CYAC began an investigation into an alleged assault involving students at St. Mikes. At this stage, given the nature of the allegations and the involvement of young people, we will not release anything further.’
