A news conference is expected today outlining allegations of police violence against an Indigenous person in Hamilton.

The allegations are in connection with an incident involving a constable who has been charged with assault.

The officer was immediately suspended for the level of force used after a video emerged at the end of May showing his interaction with a person who was arrested for a stolen vehicle.
