Alek Minassian’s father testifies at van attack trial

Alek Minassian had never been violent before he rented a Ryder van in April 2018 and drove down Yonge street sidewalks intentionally hitting people.

That was evidence from Minassian’s father, who testified during the first day of the defence case.

Minassian has pleaded not guilty to the murders of 10 people – and the attempted murder of 16 others.
