Air Transat, CUPE reach tentative deal for flight attendants

The union representing Air Transat’s 2,100 flight attendants say it has reached a new tentative agreement with the airline.
The proposed contract comes after an earlier agreement reached in December was rejected by union members.
Details of the new tentative agreement have not yet been released publicly.
Air Transat says that the proposed agreement would remain in effect for the next five years should it be approved.
The contract for the airline’s flight attendants based out of airports in Toronto and Montreal expired on Oct. 31, 2022.
This past November, the company’s flight attendants voted in favour of a strike mandate if a new contract could not be reached.
