Air Canada reaches sponsorship deal with the PWHL

Air Canada has reached a sponsorship deal with the Professional Women’s Hockey League set to launch in the new year.
The airline says it will be an inaugural partner and the official airline for the first six teams in the league that is expected to hold its first game on Jan. 1, 2024.
As part of the deal, the airline says it has secured intellectual property rights for the teams in Boston, Minnesota, Montreal, New York, Ottawa, and Toronto, along with jersey branding rights for the team in Montreal.

Air Canada says the deal builds on its previous partnerships within professional women’s hockey, the Women’s National Basketball Association and the planned Project 8 professional women’s soccer league in Canada.
The league itself has named Canadian Tire as a founding partner and has now established numerous official partner and supplier deals.
