Aerotropolis appeal lost

One of the groups fighting the creation of a business park around Hamilton International Airport has lost its appeal of the Ontario Municipal Board’s approval of the expansion.
Hamiltonians for progressive development are against the project because hundreds of hectares of farmland will be converted for industrial development. The city of Hamilton says the project will create jobs and potentially $50-million a year in tax revenue. The plan will now be tabled at an OMB hearing next year to determine the boundaries of Aerotropolis which is set to be finished in 2031.
