Actor William Shatner turns 90 years old

A Canadian icon is celebrating a big birthday today.

Montreal-born William Shatner, who is best known for his role as “Star Trek’s” Captain James Tiberius Kirk, is turning 90.

Before taking command of the Starship Enterprise, Shatner honed his acting chops in theatre, most notably at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Stratford.

He went on to star in multiple TV shows and movies while also branching out into writing and crafting his own unique style of singing.
