“Star Trek” star William Shatner has conquered the final frontier after taking a historic trip into space Wednesday morning.

The Canadian actor boarded Amazon founder Jeff Bezos’ fully-automated capsule, Blue Origin, shortly before 10 a.m.

The journey lasted just 10 minutes and marked history with the 90-year-old becoming the oldest person to ever enter space.

Shatner was joined by three other passengers including two civilians.

The spacecraft launched from a rural Texas spaceport and hovered 106 kilometres above Earth before parachuting back into the Texas desert.
