Accused parent abductor out on bail
Bail has been granted to the woman accused of abducting her daughter almost two decades ago.
Patricia O’Byrne, 54, was freed on $219,000 bail earlier today.
She was arrested in December at her home in Victoria, B.C. for allegedly kidnapping her infant daughter during a custody battle in 1993.
The girl – now 20 – had been missing for the last 18 years.
O’Byrne must now return to Victoria and must report to police once a week.
