Accused in Styles death appears in court

The 15-year old boy charged with first degree murder in the death of York Regional Police Constable Garrett Styles, was scheduled to appear in a Newmarket court Thursday.

In a brief telephone call to the boy’s hospital bed, a newmarket court heard the accused was in no condition to speak but was listening to the proceedings.
The crown is looking for an adult sentence in the case.
