Senior’s HSR fare declined, driver refuses to move the bus and calls supervisor

An “unfortunate” occurrence is how the HSR is describing an incident between a bus driver and an elderly rider that was caught on camera.

There was a problem with the senior’s method of payment and the driver asked him to get off the bus, even though other passengers offered to pay for the man’s ride.

HSR declined our request for an interview but sent a statement saying: “Without question, this occurrence was incredibly unfortunate. While our operator was enforcing the policy, we regret the way in which this escalated.”
