82~year old man charged with murder

An 82-year old man from Bolton is facing second-degree murder charges after police found his wife stabbed to death in her Vaughan home this weekend.

72-year old Teresa Dias was found in their home in Vaughan Saturday night with stab wounds. She died Sunday in hospital. Another man was also assaulted during the attack but wasn’t seriously hurt. Neighbours say Teresa Dias lived here with her son or daughter and family. Neighbours say elementary school aged children were home at the time of the attack. 82-year old Edmundo Dias of Bolton has been charged with second-degree murder and assault with a weapon. Dias and his wife did not live together.
