81-year-old man charged for indecent act in St. Catharines

An 81-year-old man has been charged in connection with an indecent act committed in St. Catharines on Thursday.
Niagara police received a call regarding an indecent act in the area of Glendale Avenue and Old Glendale Road around 4:25 p.m.
Investigations found that an elderly man was touching and exposing himself in the parking lot of 12 Mile Creek while following an adult woman.
Upon arrival, witnesses indicated to police that the actions of the man were visible to those walking in the area. With the help of those witnesses, officers were able to locate the suspect and placed him under arrest.

Clement Gonsalves, 81, of Toronto is now facing one charge of committing an indecent act in a public place.
Gonsalves was released on Form 10 Undertaking and is expected to appear in court on Dec. 22.
