7 vehicle crash in Hamilton leaves one dead

A 61-year-old man is dead after seven vehicles collided in Hamilton on Saturday night.

York Boulevard on ramp to the 403 West was closed for six hours. The crash happened at around 7:30 p.m., when police say the 61-year-old in a 2003 Nissan sedan crossed into oncoming traffic and hit a jeep.

Police say the Nissan spun out of control and crashed into another car.

Paramedics say seven patients were treated. Impairment and speed have not been ruled out as factors.
