65-year-old woman arrested in burglary attempt in Burlington

A 65-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with a break-in in rural Burlington.
Halton Police officers were called to a home on No. 1 Side Road near Walkers Line around noon Wednesday.
When officers arrived, they found a woman in the garage.
Police say she tried to run away but was quickly arrested.
She was found to be in possession of a screw driver, a two-way radio and a pair of socks which police believe were used as gloves.
Officers searched the area for an accomplice but found no one.
Police believe she was able to alert the other person before her arrest.
Maria Waszkowska of Poland was charged with break and enter and possession of break-in instruments.
She was also found to have a Canada-wide immigration warrant for her arrest since 2004.
