6-year-old taken to hospital after street racing collision in Brant

The OPP say a six-year-old has been taken to hospital after a street racing incident resulted in two uninvolved vehicles rolling over in Brant County on Sunday.

Officers report that responders attend to a collision in the area of Highway 403 near Sunnyridge Rd. around 1:32 p.m.

They arrived to find two vehicles had left the roadway and rolled over, resulting in a six-year-old passenger of one of the vehicles to be taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses say that a black racing-style motorcycle and a white Honda sport-style sedan were aggressively racing down the westbound lanes of Highway 403 and were directly involved in the collision.

Police say both vehicles failed to remain at the scene of the collision and the drivers of both vehicles have yet to be identified.

An investigation into the collision is ongoing by the Brant County OPP.

Investigators ask that anyone who owns a dash camera and may have been in the area around 1:30 p.m. or anyone with information to assist the investigation contact the OPP 1-888-310-1122.
