6 more residents die at Lundy Manor due to COVID-19

An update on the COVID-19 outbreak at Lundy Manor retirement home.

Last week a COVID-19 outbreak was declared and reports of 4 deaths at the retirement residence.

Oxford Living has just reported that six additional residents have died from causes related to COVID-19.

In addition, there are presently 21 residents and 5 staff members who have tested positive for COVID-19.

In a statement from Oxford Living they say:

We continue to work closely with Niagara Regional Public Health, the Retirement Homes
Regulatory Authority and Government officials to address the situation. We are also constantly updating our procedures as new orders, directives and guidance are being communicated to the retirement home industry. We would like to thank our incredible team at Lundy Manor, our residents’ families and the incredible community encouragement we continue to receive during this pandemic. Lundy Manor is especially grateful to Niagara Regional Public Health, the Niagara Health System and Niagara EMS for their assistance and leadership during these difficult times.
