The 59th annual CANUSA games got underway in Hamilton on Friday.
The games are a chance for young athletes in our sister city of Flint, Michigan to compete against people from a city of comparable size and interests.
This year’s games were held in Hamilton again, because of the ongoing water crisis in Flint.
While the competition is tough, the games are also about building friendships.
About 800 young athletes will compete in 13 games including baseball, soccer, basketball and track and field.
This year’s CANUSA games wrap up on Sunday morning. The 60th games will be held in Flint, Michigan.
