55-year-old man charged in Hagersville drug investigation: OPP

A 55-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a drug investigation in Hagersville.

On Tuesday, OPP officers in Haldimand County executed a search warrant at a home on John Street.

During the search, police found suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine and oxycodone, along with cash, gift cards and a prohibited knife.

Michael Wells of Hagersville has been arrested and now faces charges of possession of a prohibited device, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and three counts of possession of a substance with the purpose of trafficking.

The accused was taken into custody without incident and is scheduled to appear in court on October 24.
