50K doses of Moderna vaccine expected to arrive in Ontario today

The head of Ontario’s vaccine task force says the province expects to receive the Moderna vaccine today.
Retired General Rick Hillier says roughly 50,000 doses are set to be delivered to four sites and then redistributed to long-term care and retirement homes.
Immunizations are then expected to begin within the next two to three days.
Due to storage requirements, the Pfizer vaccine which has already been administered in the province will primarily be used in hospitals.
Hillier said Tuesday about 8.5 million Ontario citizens should receive the vaccine by the end of July.
