$500K blaze considered suspicious

(Updated) Police are now calling an overnight house fire on Hamilton mountain suspicious.

It started just before one this morning, on Miles Road just south of Rymal. It appears the fire started at the back of the home, and spread, causing the roof to collapse.

Although there were several cars in the driveway, no one was home at the time. Damage is estimated at half a million dollars.

The Ontario Fire Marshal’s office is now investigating.
