5 years since unsolved Orangeville Murder

Sunday marked the fifth anniversary of a mysterious murder in Orangeville that remains unsolved.

42 year-old Sonia Varaschin disappeared in August of 2010. Her remains were discovered in a heavily wooded area just a few days later.

Police have received over 12 hundred tips since then, but they are still no closer to solving the case.

The best evidence to date is when they found footprints made by a type of boot sold only at Mark’s Work Wearhouse.

The OPP is offering $50,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the murder.
