5 dead after planes collide on runway at Tokyo airport

It has been a frightening couple of days for the people of Japan.

A passenger plane burst into flames today as it landed in Tokyo.

It collided with a coast guard aircraft that was set to fly relief to the country’s west coast after that massive and deadly earthquake on New Year’s Day.

The country’s death toll keeps climbing after officials say at least 5 crew members aboard the coast guard aircraft were killed in the crash.

However, on the other plane, nearly 400 passengers – including children – managed to escape the fiery wreckage, prompting an investigation on how this could possibly happen.
