4 people charged with assault in Niagara Falls stabbing in September

Police have charged four people in connection with a stabbing that seriously injured a man in Niagara Falls nearly two months ago.

Emergency crews responded shortly after 2 a.m. on Sept. 23 to a report of a stabbing near Fallsview Boulevard and Murray Street.

A 39-year-old man was found suffering from serious stab wounds. He was then transported to hospital for treatment.

Investigators believe the man was stabbed during a fight. The four suspects allegedly beat and kicked him when he fell to the ground.

On Tuesday, officers say they arrested and charged 20-year-old Brahmjit S. Kaloya of Bolton, 20-year-old Amrit S. Chhokar of Caledon and 20-year-old Bikram Gosal of Brampton with assault causing bodily harm. Manraj Singh, 19, of Bramptom has been charged with aggravated assault.

Each suspect was held in custody and appeared in a St. Catharines video bail court Tuesday.
