3 years ago tonight was the last time Sharlene Bosma saw her husband Tim alive. As we all know now, on the evening of May 6th 2013 Tim took two men on a test drive of the pick-up truck he was selling and never came home.

The two men acussed of shooting Tim and burning his remains are now on trial and next week will be a pivotal week in that case. The men on trial could elect to take the stand in their own defence, or the defence may offer closing arguments and the case will be turned over to the jury for deliberation.

The Bosma family isn’t saying anything publically today but Tim’s tribute, the charity founded in his honour did release a statement. It reads in part,

“Over the past three years the community has rallied around Tim’s family in ways that they could never have imagined. The overwhelming love shown by the community inspires us at Tim’s tribute to believe that people are capable of showing that same love to other families like Tim’s. On the third anniversary of Tim’s murder, we ask that when you think of Tim you also think of the many other families who have also suffered through the experience of homicide.”

The trial started in February and over the past few months painful and disturbing details and evidence surrounding Bosma’s last days have been poured over and examined in great detail. So on this anniversary we wanted to look at the Tim Bosma most of us never knew.
