39 ‘ice cream’ cats and kittens up for adoption at the SPCA

39 cats and kittens are looking for new homes as the Hamilton-Burlington SPCA recovered the felines from a home last week.
Social media posts made on Oct. 1 says many of the cats were found with eye conditions which resulted in surgeries to relieve their discomfort.
Each cat was named after ice cream flavours.
The SPCA says the cats and kittens made their way through their Companion Animal Hospital for inoculations, spay or neuter surgeries and other treatments before being available for adoption.
The association says the estimated cost of care for a cat is about $500 while they stay at the shelter.
