A Hamilton woman stuck to her resolution last year to paint a picture every single day and it seems to be paying off.

The more Niki Kingsmill worked her 9-5, the less she painted. So on January 1st 2015, she looked to change that in a drastic way. “As a New Years resolution I want to paint one painting or at least be creative once a day.”

Log onto Instagram and you’ll see thousands of posts with the #365PhotoChallenge, people snap one photo every day all year.

Gradually, Niki’s #AnArtWorkADay garnered some buzz and she’s began to sell prints online and at two art stores in Hamilton for about $45. Her originals range from $200- $420 each.

This Saturday you can take a look at or even buy some of the 365 paintings produced by Niki over the last year at the Spice Factory on Hughson and perhaps you can get a little inspired yourself.
