Halton police arrested a 32-year-old man for allegedly trafficking drugs throughout the region and in Hamilton.

Investigators carried out a search warrant at a home and in a vehicle in Oakville on Wednesday. Officers seized cocaine, methamphetamines, weapons and other items related to drug trafficking.

Police then arrested and charged Daniel Hackett of Oakville with eight drug trafficking-related offences, including possession of cocaine and methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of ammunition contrary to order, among others.
