Halton police have arrested three men in connection with a series of armed robberies in the Greater Toronto Area.

Police launched an investigation after they noticed a spike in armed robberies back in October 2019. The robberies typically involved at least two armed suspects entering banks and retail locations and demanding cash.

On Tuesday, officers arrested Mississauga residents’ Tyriq Brooks, 21, and Oliver Rose-Mighty, 23, as well as 18-year-old Malcolm Omotosho, of no fixed address.

Police seized two loaded handguns during the arrest.

The trio is facing a total of 67 charges including robbery with a firearm, disguise with intent and numerous other firearm-related charges.

Police say more charges are expected to be laid against all three accused.
