3 men charged after police in GTHA seize loaded guns, drugs

Three men are facing multiple charges after Halton police seized three loaded handguns and illegal drugs.

The investigation dubbed “Project Oyster” saw Halton, Hamilton and provincial police carry out search warrants on Feb. 15 at addresses in Burlington, Hamilton, Beamsville and Grimsby.

Officers recovered over 5 kilograms of cocaine, 85 oxycodone pills and 28 grams of psilocybin, as well as three loaded handguns inside of custom-built hidden compartments in three vehicles that police also seized.

Forty-four-year-old Stephen Papadopoulos of Hamilton and 38-year-old Kim Hay Heng of Beamsville are each facing several firearm and drug-related charges.

Frank Pearlman, 35, of Grimsby has been charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

All three suspects were held in custody pending a bail hearing in Milton.
