Hamilton police have made several arrests in connection with the bouncer who was gunned down outside a downtown club back in May. Police allege the killing was about revenge and they’re still looking for another person involved. They also say the victim, 46-year-old Vincenzo Lofaro was just an innocent bystander.
Police allege the three men they have in custody were kicked out of this club around 2am after an altercation inside. The 3 men were kicked out by staff and were escorted out of the club. They threatened staff that they would return and an hour later Lafaro was shot and killed. Lafaro was just finishing his shift when he was shot multiple times. Police say Lafaro probably didn’t even know about the altercation inside. A woman in her 60s who came to pick up Lafaro that morning was also shot in the arm.
Police have arrested 25-year-olds Rebaz Resh and Waed Alabd Alnabi and 26-year-old Ammar Nabulsi. They’ve been charged with first degree murder and aggravated assault. Investigators are also looking for another man, he is believed to be in his mid 20s. Police say surveillance footage from inside the club and a condo across the street helped catch the three men.
