3 Hamilton men face child pornography charges

UPDATE:  Court documents provided to CHCH News show the charge against Andrew Lundie was withdrawn by the Crown on May 21st.

Three men are facing charges following a child pornography investigation by Hamilton police.

Back in February, the Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit obtained 18 judicial court orders, which included the execution of six search warrants throughout the city of Hamilton.

Officers arrested Andrew Lundie, 43, Matthew Pulford, 38, and Mohammad Al-Sawaftah, 26.

Pulford and Al-Sawaftah face possession of child pornography and distributing child pornography charges while Lundie faces one count of possession of child pornography. (Lundie’s charge was withdrawn May 21st).

Police say there is no association between the men and each was arrested in connection with a separate investigation.

Several digital storage devices were seized during the search warrants and are currently undergoing forensic examination.

Investigators say further charges are expected to be laid once the data has been properly analyzed.
