3 arrested after guns, drugs seized at Rainbow Bridge: Niagara police

Three people have been arrested after police discovered guns and drugs in a vehicle inspected at the Rainbow Bridge border crossing in Niagara Falls on Thursday.
Niagara police say that Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officers at the bridge referred a vehicle for a secondary inspection.
During the search, border services officers found two prohibited firearms, 25 rounds of ammunition and two prohibited 18 round firearm magazines.
In addition to weapons, seven grams of suspected cocaine, around three grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine and just short of $10,000 worth of American currency that was believed to be obtained through crime were recovered.

Police arrested all three occupants of the vehicle and the Niagara Regional Police Service took over the investigation.
Forty-three-year-old Tina Caron of Maine, Tyana Brittany Mclaughlin, 23, also of Maine and 33-year-old Anthony Mathew Vangel of Florida each face nine charges in connection with the incident.
The three accused attended a bail hearing on Friday and have since been taken into the custody of Ontario Correctional Services.
