23-year-old man dies after two-vehicle crash on the Linc: Hamilton police

Hamilton police say a 23-year-old man has died after a two-vehicle crash on the Lincoln Alexander Parkway Saturday morning.

Police say a 23-year-old was driving a black BMW heading west on the Linc near Upper James St. The vehicle lost control, crossed the centre median and collided with an eastbound Ford driven by a 72-year-old woman.

Emergency crews responded to the crash at approximately 8:50 a.m.

Authorities say the 23-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the 72-year-old woman was briefly trapped as a result of the collision. She was taken to a trauma center with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Both directions of the Linc at Upper James was closed for several hours for the investigation.
