Around 10:30 Friday night a transport truck slammed into slowed down traffic on the 401 near Ajax. A 12 year old boy is one of three people who were killed in the 20 vehicle pile up, five others are fighting for their lives and 11 people are in hospital with non life threatening injuries. OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt says he hasn’t seen something of this size and scope on dry road conditions before.
