2 teens injured in double shooting on west Hamilton Mountain

Police are investigating after two teens sustained gunshot wounds in two related shootings on the west Hamilton Mountain overnight Wednesday.
Officers were called to the area of West 5th and Limeridge Rd. around 2 a.m. for multiple reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, police found a 15-year-old boy who had sustained gunshot wounds. He was transported to hospital in serious but stable condition

Investigation would reveal that a second victim, a 16-year-old boy, had also been shot but had managed to flee the area before calling for medical assistance. The second victim was transported to hospital and has been released after being treated for his injuries.
All traffic was blocked at the West 5th overpass above the Lincoln Alexander Parkway for the investigation, but has since reopened.
The investigation is ongoing but it is believed to be a targeted incident at this time.
