2 people charged, others wanted in armed Simcoe home invasion

Two people are in custody and at least two others are wanted following an armed home invasion in Simcoe overnight.
Ontario Provincial Police were called around 3:45 a.m. to a home on Nixon Road after a group of four to five people broke in.
Investigators say the suspects interacted with three occupants, one of whom was assaulted and sustained minor injuries.
Officers say no items have been reported missing or stolen from the home.
Norfolk County OPP say the suspects then fled the area in possibly a white van.
They are described as Black and Caucasian males who were wearing face coverings and dressed in black or grey hooded sweatshirts or zip-up jackets. Officers say the suspects were also seen carrying what appeared to be firearms and other weapons.
Less than 10 minutes later, police located and stopped a van matching the suspect vehicle’s description on Windham Road 14 in Simcoe. The driver and passenger were taken into custody.
Trevor McCrossan, 26, of Richmond Hill and Diana Buvehall, 41, of Kingston, were both charged with break, enter a place – commit indictable offence and three counts of robbery using a firearm (restricted or prohibited).
Both were held in custody and scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Wednesday.
Anyone who was travelling on Nixon Road around the time of the home invasion and saw anything suspicious, or anyone with further information, is asked to contact police at 1-888-310-1122.
