2 people caught with drugs, weapon during traffic stop in Brant County

Two people face multiple drug and weapon offences after a traffic stop in Paris.
Police say they stopped a car in the area of Nimmo St. on Nov. 16 after observing suspicious activity.
The officer on duty found and seized a quantity of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, and an imitation firearm.

Police have charged 31-year-old David Hamilton from Brantford with several offences such as possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order and possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine.
Kyle Lickers, a 34-year-old was also charged with obstruct peace officer, possession of weapon for dangerous purpose, and possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid (other than heroin).
The accused are scheduled to appear in a Brantford courthouse at a later date.
