2 new rabies cases in Hamilton

There are two new cases of rabies in raccoons in Hamilton.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Natural Resources, Chris Davies says both animals were found on Hamilton mountain.
The ministry has finished its raccoon rabies bait program for the season, and will drop more this spring. No human cases of rabies have been reported.
Most raccoons are now hibernating. Davies warns seeing a raccoon out this time of year could be a sign it has rabies or some other disease.
