2 men plead guilty after cruel prank at McDonald’s in Hamilton

2 Hamilton men have pleaded guilty to a cruel prank at a McDonald’s restaurant that sparked public outrage.

Video shows a half-eaten cheeseburger and a drink being thrown into the face of a man who was sleeping at a nearby table. It happened at a McDonald’s at Barton and Lottridge in mid-March of last year.

2 men are heard laughing, as they run out of the restaurant.

Joey Alexander Reid, 23 and Matthew West, 23 posted the video to Facebook and have been charged with assault with a weapon. They’ll be sentenced on July 7th.
