2 men arrested in last September’s Mount Hope homicide, abduction

Hamilton police have arrested two more people in connection with a violent kidnapping and murder in Mount Hope last year.
Officers responded to a home for reports of a shooting shortly before 3 a.m. on Sept. 16, 2021. Two men in their 20s were then taken to hospital after police found them suffering from gunshot wounds.
One of the men survived, while Hasnain (Nano) Ali later died of his injuries.
Their father, Faqir Ali, was forcibly taken from the home in a dark SUV. Police said Ali was violently assaulted before he was found near Beach Blvd. in Hamilton.
Investigators arrested 25-year-old John Bartley and 35-year-old Gino McCall of Hamilton on Wednesday. The two men were charged with the first-degree murder of Hasnain (Nano) Ali, attempted murder, kidnapping and aggravated assault.
They are scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
Hamilton police also arrested and charged 25-year-old Antoine Chambers with the first-degree murder of Hasnain (Nano) Ali, attempted murder, kidnapping and aggravated assault on Oct. 8, 2021.
